SIGNALLING ON DIVISION.

“A” ROUTE

1.1Bina-Agra Cantt

vInterlocking – All the stations on the route are interlocked to Std. III except Jhansi which is interlocked to Std I.

vType of signaling –

1.All stations are provided with Panel interlocking except DLA.SIKD is provided with Solid State interlocking .Jhansi & Gwalior is provided with Route Relay interlocking.

2.The entire route is having double distant signaling.

vData loggers have been provided at all PI/SSI/RRI stations & are networked with JHS Test Room.

vSpecial features –

oIn the entire JHS - BINA section, Axle Counter Block have been provided (19 block sections).

o19 block sections on AGC-JHS sectionhave been provided with digital BPAC along with SGE block instruments (10 MSDAC+7CEL SSDAC+ 2 Mixed ).BPAC is to be provided in 2 balance block sections (DHO-MIA,BHA-AGC) (CEL SSDACs).GWL-BLNR is track circuited.

oIBS has been provided in 32 block sections: BIN-AGD, AGD-KOA,MXS-DUA, DUA-JLN, JLN-JRO,JRO-LAR, LAR-DWA, DWA-JHA, JHA-BJA, MZX-BZY,BZY-BPW, BAB-KHJ, KHJ-BJI,BJI-JHS,JHS-KRQ, KRQ-DAA, DAA-SOR, SOR-KTRA, KTRA-DBA, DBA-AEH, AEH-ARI, SLV-STLI, STLI-GWL, BLNR-RRU, BAO-SQ, SQ-MRA,MRA-SIKD, HET-DHO, DHO-MIA,MIA-JJ,JJ –BHA andBHA -AGC sections.

“B” ROUTE

1.2 Manikpur -- Naini

vInterlocking – All the stations on the route are interlocked to Std. III. (No. of Stations – 12).

vType of signalling – PI at PNHI, DBR & KTDD. SSI at IDGJ, LKJN, JSR, MFX, LOG, SRJ, MJHR, BRG and MKP.

vData loggers have been provided at all PI/SSI stations & are networked with JHS Test Room.

“D” ROUTE--

1.3 Jhansi – Kanpur

vPI commissioned at 16 stations, MACLS at 03 stations (PRN, NDK & BHUA).

vStd -III Interlocking at all the stations.

vAbsolute block working with Diodo Tokenless Block Instrument at all stations.

vThe entire route is having double distant signalling.

All block sections on JHS-BZM section have been provided with digital BPAC along with Tokenless block instruments.

1.4Banda – Bhimsensection is provided with LQ two aspect signalling Std-III (5 Station&MNI signalling (4 Stations). Work for converting 4 MNI stations to PI and 5 stations to MACLS with existing lever frame is sanctioned.

1.5Jhansi – KID (excl) section is provided with LQ two aspects signalling with MNI signalling at 9 stations, PI at 3 stations namely MBA, KBR, MTH and LQ two aspect signaling with STD-I at 1 station viz RNRD.PI is sanctioned at ORC, BWR, NEW & TKA.

1.6Mahoba – Khajuraho:- Panel interlocking has been commissioned on 02 stationsviz.Khajuraho & Singhpurdumra with Neale’s ball token block instrument.

vData loggers have been provided at all PI stations, & are networked with JHS Test Room

1.7 Khairar - Manikpur section is provided with LQ two aspect signaling Std–III (12Stations). Work of tokenless block is sanctioned & PI is sanctioned at 9 stations.

“E” ROUTE-

1.8 Gwalior–Bhind section is equipped with MACLS Std-I stations (5 stations).

1.9 Gwalior NG and Dholpur NG sections are provided with LQ two aspect signalling. All the 17 stations are NI.

1.10 AIT-KNH section is provided with LQ. The only station KNH is MNI. Provision at PI at KNH is sanctioned along with RE work.

2TELECOMMUNICATIONS –

2.1Control circuits on the division are as under:

Bina-Jhansi-Agra

Railway owned RE cable and OFC. Control working on OFC.

Jhansi-Kanpur

6Q cable – block and control working on quad cable.

Banda-Bhimsen

6Q cable – block and control working on quad cable.

Banda- Manikpur

6Q cable– block and control working on quad cable.

Jhansi-Banda

BSNL owned overhead alignment (KID – MBA section block working on six quad cable).

Manikpur-Naini

OFC + 4Q cable– block working on quad cable and control working on OFC

GWL-BIX

6Q cable– block and control working on quad cable.

2.2 VHF Sets: All Block stations on the division including branch lines, narrow gauge and ‘E’ route have been provided with high power 25 W VHF sets. 5W VHF sets – 634 nos for train working, 147-Mech, 160-Eng, 65- Elect, 151-S&T, 88 Optg. 2-Medical & 96-ARTs (Total 1343 nos).

2.3 Exchanges - All the Exchanges on Jhansi Division are modern Electronic Exchanges with Trunk Board at Jhansi. The exchanges are at Jhansi East Exchange, Jhansi West Exchange, Gwalior, Babina, Lalitpur, Orai, Juhi, Banda, Manikpur, Sithouli (Workshop), Dholpur & Morena.

2.4 OFC- exists on AGC - BIN & MKP-NYN section of the division. Long haul circuits & connectivity of various exchanges on the route has been done on OFC.Wherever possible PRS & FOIS have been also transferred on OFC. Work of lying of OFC is in progress by RE in JHS-CNB section. Lying of OFC in JHS-BNDA-MKP and KID-BZM has been sanctioned and is to be done by RCIL.

2.5 RAILNET- There are 84 nodes of Railnet connected to each other through LAN and 40 nodes are connected through dial-up.128 Nos broad band provided at different locations of JHS on DSLAM.

2.6 PRS- There are 23 PRS on the division & out of which 9 are at non-railway head.

2.7 FOIS points available at Jhansi (39 nodes) & 1 each at MRA, DCPG, PTPP ,BNDA,GWL,RRU,DAA,KRQ,LAR,OR,MBA & IDGJ.

2.8BSNL Telephones have been provided at 128 stations out of 130 (except Katiaya dandi & Majhari since not feasible).
