The Electrical Operation Branch (OP) of Jhansi division is responsible for:
i)Management of AC Locomotives on line.
ii)Management of running staff in electrified section, including their training etc.
iii)Cadre control of all loco running staff, including Diesel trained running staff & supervisors.

Electric Operation is headed by Sr.DEE/OP and assisted by ADEE/OP.

- IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS/ACHIEVEMENT
1.New breath analyzer equipment has been provided at “Crew Booking Lobby Jhansi”.
This new breath analyzer equipment has a memory of 50,000 test reports with crew ID.
2.After the bench marking of energy, 1,02,31,332 units of energy have been regenerated by Jhansi Crew in the period of Apr – Mar’2012, amounting to a saving of Rs. 5.30 crores.
3.New signal location book has been distributed to loco pilots which has helped enormously during fog.
4.Leaflet containing instructions on Modified Automatic Signaling System has been distributed to loco pilots.
5.3 Phase loco Trouble Shooting Directory, pocket card, ABB Static converter, Microprocessor have been provided to loco pilots.
6.Quick Bit trouble shooting card has also been distributed among all LPs/ALPs.
7.Information KIOSK for salary & other relevant information for running staff have been provided at CC Lobby JHS.
8.Separate Yoga and Meditation room have been provided in Running Room, Jhansi.
9.Provision of Retro Reflective tape / highlighter safety marker on OHE mastto pre warn loco pilots about approaching signal during foggy weather as the signal sighting becomes poor. The pasting of tape in the sections is in progress and will be completed the month of NOV-12.
10.Against an indent of 235 ALPs received in Feb-12 (157 ALP have completed their training at ETC/CNB & DTC/JHS and have been posted).
11.Promotion has been completed in all cadre right from LPG to LI.
12.Magic information system for displaying Circulars, Safety related photo videos and troubleshooting guidance has been provided at CC/Lobby/JHS for improving knowledge of LPs/ALPs.
13.Provision of Running LED Display Board in Lobby and Running Room for dissemination of information / instructions.
14. Chalak Patra has been started since AUG-12
§ACTION PLAN 2012 – 2013
- Training to all Electric LPs/ALPS.
- Taking over of JHS – CNB section.
- Improvement in Running Room by providing new gadgets helpful to crew.
- Provision of Interactive Touch screen at Lobby to display all the information for crew at one place in interactive manner.
- Proposal for construction of new Crew Booking Lobby at PF no-1.
§IMPORTANT ISSUES REQUIRING ATTENTION
The work for construction for new 100 bed running room at Jhansi has been sanctioned and is under execution. Same needs to be expedited.
§ASSISTANCE REQUIRED FROM HQR.
Jhansi division is facing shortage of ALPTs, indent of 528 ALPTs is pending with
RRB/ALD which should be expedited.
