HIGHLIGHT & OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS (Up to March 2013)

IMPROVEMENT IN STATION PLATFORM, STATION & SERVICE BUILDINGS:

Station name board (LED based) has been provided at LAR station.

3688 nos. CFL have been provided/replaced at various locations in stations/service buildings as energy conservation measures.

2735 nos., T-5 energy efficient fitting have been provided/replaced at various locations in stations/service buildings as energy conservation measures

471 nos. ceiling fans have been provided/replaced at various locations in stations/service buildings.

05 nos water coolers each of 150 ltrs cap have been provided at MBA, MKP, Orai & DRM office JHS.

IMPROVEMENT IN STAFF QUARTERS:

1220 nos. CFL have been replaced in staff quarters/street light at various locations as energy conservation measures.

103 nos., T-5 energy efficient fitting have been replaced in staff quarter at Gwalior.

433 nos. ceiling fan have been replaced at various locations in staff quarters.

1017 nos. Electronic energy meters have been replaced inplace of old/defective energy meters at various stations in staff quarters.

ELECTRIFICATION & REWIRING WORKS:

829 nos. staff quarters have been rewired at various stations in the division

20 nos rail poles has been erected with all electrical accessories 10 nos in new goods siding MRA & 10 nos at Khairada station on platform for illumination.

Electrification work of new constructed 24 nos RB-I staff quarters have been completed at PHN, Dingwahi, BNDA & Khurhand station.

Electrification of extension of COP of P/F no.-1 at MBA has been done by providing required all electrical accessories.

06 nos tubular pole have been erected with accessories at extended platform no-1 MKP.

Rewiring of station buildings has been completed at Orchha, Baruasagar, Niwari, Teharka, Mauranipur, Harpalpur & Mahoba station.

94 nos MH fittings of 150W with 4 mtrs long polygonal polehave been erected in CNB siding to improve the illumination level for rake maintenance/examination at JHS.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT:

05 no. APFC panel of different capacity have been repaired at JHS & GWL pumping installations & HT connections and improved PF to 0.98. This will result in saving of Rs. 46055/- approximate per month.

121 nos defective energy meters have been replaced by different supply authorities for correct measurement of energy consumption.

WATER SUPPLY ARRANGEMENT:

16 nos different capacity submersible pumps have been provided/replaced in new/old bore well at various stations.

SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT:

NI work was organized by S&T department from 14.10.2012 to 19.10.2012 for commissioning of RRI at JHS. Temporary lighting arrangement made in JHS Yard, NRD yard to F cabin.RRI is commissioned on 19.10.2012 successfully.

During the special drive ordered by CEE/NCR/ALD 439 nos. TL& AC coaches have been checked at JHS & GWL depots and defect also attended. The cross checking at SSE and Officers level is continuing.

11 KV/440 V, 2x250 KVA substation at Morena was held up for charging since last 06 years due to non release of HT connection by MPSEB authority due to court case and outstanding amount of 65 Lakhs to be paid by Railway. This matter was discussed with MPSEB Authorities and substation is energized on 19.03.2013 after release of HT connection with a payment of 6 Lakhs subject to out come of the Court case in the MP High Court. Similarly 11 KV/440V substations at CKTD and LAR have also been commissioned during the year resulting in substantial improvement in reliability of power supply at these stations.

6 nos. high mast towers each of 16 meters height have been installed with each of 8 nos. (2x400w Metal halide) fittings in goods shed JHS, OR, HPP, new goods siding LAR & MKP end at BNDA station for improvement of illumination level.

40 nos LT span by ACSR conductor have been replaced by new ACSR conductor in West colony Jhansi.

HT panel with air circuit breaker has been installed in DSL shed sub station Jhansi.

5 KVA DG set has been installed at Bahilpurwa station to avoid distribution of power supply.

01 nos 5.5 KVA capacity inverter has been provided in Officer rest house KURJ station.
