ORGANISATION & ASSETS:
Jhansi Divisional Railway Hospital is one of the oldest hospital on Indian Railways. In old time , it was a dispensary running in old building behind DRM’s Office. The present hospital building was started in 1958 & the hospital was commissioned in 1961as 100 bedded hospital. It was upgraded in phased manner up to 205 bedded in 1997.
It istwo storied building which consist of-
(i) On the ground floor- Male & Female OPD wing, Casualty, Dispensary,X-ray & Ultrasound dept., Laboratory, Family Welfare Center & Administrative block, kitchen, Medical Store, Male Medical wards, Male Ortho. Ward, TB& Chest ward (under repair and renovation),Isolation Wards and Libraries (Rajbhasha & Medical), Non-AC Cabins
(ii) On first floor - Male & Female Surgical Wards,Female medical wards, Obst. & Gyne. Ward, Labour Room, Neonatal Intensive Care unit, Children Ward, ICU, TMT & Haulter Room, Operation Theatre & AC cabinsSpecial Cabins and post operative ward.

Major achievements/ Highlights March to August- 2012:
1.Eight, Multi purpose Health checkup Camp organized in the division, 330 patients were examined.
2.Seven, Paramedical staff training organized at DRH- Jhansi, no. of staff attended 55.
3.Pulse Polio Prog. started in division , number of children immunized Railway- 1257, Non Railway- 9143.
4.Divl Hospital Efficiency Shield of NCR was awarded to Divl Railway Hospital- Jhansi by GM/NCR in Railway week function on 18.04.12.
5.Best Performance Divisional Shield has been awarded to BNDA H.Unit by DRM- Jhansi in Railway Week function on 19.04.12.
6.CME was organized at DRH- Jhansi on 19.05.12, 30.06.12 & 04.08.12.
7.Family Planning activities done at DRH- Jhansi:
Sterilization- 09, IUD insertion – 21
8.Man-days lost due to sickness reduced by 1045 days as compared to last year.
9.Surplus medicines were prevented from getting expired by sending them to the other Rly Hospital as such a total amount of Rs. 3,07,223/- approximate were saved from wastage.
10.Surplus medicines were collected which were available in other divisions & used at Jhansi division as such Railway revenue Rs 5,95,562/- approximate were saved by utilizing surplus drugs.
