Procurement & Works Contract Policy of S&T department of North Central railway
(a) Procurement:
There is no approved list of vendors for S&T material on N. C. Railway.
Bulk procurement of items is done from RDSO approved suppliers (Research Design and
Standards Organisation, Manak Nagar, Lucknow-226011
). Vendor development and approvalis done by RDSO. Website -

No registration for works contracts is done in S&T department of N.C. Railway.
Most of the works are executed through open tenders for which registration in approved list of
contractors is not required. All open tenders are publicized through newspapers as well as
INTERNET, and downloadable from this site.
Those who fulfill minimum eligibility criterion required for the work can participate. These
criteria are given in the tender notice itself.
