SAFETY PERFORMANCE OF ALD DIVISION

 

 

Mobile campaigning van hired by HQ was utilized in division in CNB-ETW, ETW-TDL, SKB-MNQ, CNB-ALD, ALD-CAR, CAR-CPU sections covering railway stations, bus station, LC gates (Manned/Unmanned). Schools, villages, panchayats etc for developing awareness among general public regarding precautions to be taken while traveling/using railway premises e.g. Not to travel on foot board/roof of coaches, Not to take any eatables from unknown person during journey, Be care full while passing level crossing, Not to bring cattles near railway track etc. by way of Video film/documentary at various stations, level crossing gates, schools and villages. Van was also stabled in Kumbh Mela area on main bathing days.

 

During Maha Kumbh on the bathing days hand bills containing the messages regarding Avoid traveling on roof/footboard, Use foot over bridges, Not to carry inflammable etc. were distributed among the pilgrims at Allahabad Station.

 

Safety Drives:- Monthly Night Footplate inspection program is circulated by division and safety drives launched by HQ & Rly. Bd. are also circulated to all concerned and monitored by safety branch.

Safety Meetings: - Regular monthly Safety meetings are conducted. In these safety meetings supervisors and staff of all concerned departments participate.

Safety Seminars: - One Safety seminar is organized every month at any roadside station. Representatives of all departments participate.

Publicity campaign at Level Crossings: -To educate rail users, from time to time safety campaigns are launched regarding precautions to be taken while traveling, using Level Crossings (Manned/Unmanned) etc. Pamphlets, Stickers, Posters, Leaflets are distributed to educate public and some times Nukkad - Nataks / Slide Shows/Video Films etc. are also organized.

Inspections: -Regular Safety Inspections are carried out by Safety Officers and Safety Counselors, which include inspection of Level Crossings, Brake vans, Stations, Ambush Checks at stations/Gates/Automatic signaling territory, Maintenance Depots, Foot plating and inspection of yards.

Safety Bulletins: - Safety Bulletins are published on monthly and quarterly basis.

Mock Drill: -Mock Drill was organized by Safety Branch in the month of August, 2012.
