2.Hospitals and Health Units
OPD Medical Services are only through health units and indoor services are through private recognised hospitals.
Emergency Services – 10 beded basic emergency services are provided round the clock at Rly. Hospital Agra Cantt by a doctor on call duty 24 Hrs, staff nurse round the clock, onedresser and other para-medical staffincluding an ambulance with driverfor 24 Hrs to shift the patients to others higherCenters . The basic emergency ward having male and female separate wards , emergency treatment room havingOxygen therapy facility, suction machine, Nabulizar equipment forAsthama / Shortness of Breath patients, ECG facility, intravenous glucose and otherintravenous therapy, blood glucose equipment for immediate blood glucose level check-up anddressing and minor surgical facility (wound stitchingand minor procedures).
Health Units –
(a) Agra Cantt. – It is under process of conversion into 60-bedded DivisionalHospital which is under construction and will be ready for commission as soon as staff is sanctioned and building is ready. It may take six month to one year.
A proposal of 9 doctors (6 specialists + 3 GDMO) and paramedical staff on Bhubneshwar model is under process for sanction at H.Q.

6.Drug Purchase policy at divisional head quarter, Agra Cantt. All the bulk purchase of medicines equipments are from CMD/Office/NCR/Allahabad. However the approximate 10% of the total budget of the medicine can be purchased at division level in an emergency. Costing less than 20,000/- of the CMS/Agra Division power. |
There is no company or Firm for medicine supply is registered at divisional level at Agra as amount of purchase is less than 20,000/-.
However there are 83 standarddrugs or medicines firms registered at CMD/H.Q./ Level at Allahabad. Whatever small amount we are purchasing from these registered company which are registered at Allahabad.
7.a) LP--Local Purchase:- For day to day basis and person to person basis we are purchasing particular drugs for 10 to 15 days per itemor particular drug from locally near by standard medical firm by our imprest less than 20,000/-. Nearest, Popular & reputed firms are selected after survey by three doctor committee deputed by CMS/Agra are involved in survey. Local quotations are called from various firms by Limited Quotation lowest providing from firm selected. For local purchase from imprest, we got three famous local reputed firms, near by Rly. Hospital Agra Cantt. Which are nominated to supply the emergency local purchase by the name of patients on day to day basis. The selection of such firms is done by local quotations. Which are opened by Account Officer & Sr. DMO (Store). The firm giving more discount is selected for three months, to give supply on day to day & patient to patient basis. The again after two years process was changed. Approval of the incharge is taken in all the matters.
b)Small Bulk Purchase (LSO – Local Supply Order):- The medicine which are not included in AMI at H. Q. /ALD and cost of medicine is less (less than 20,000/-) are including in this head. We are using the medical firms registered at H.Q./ALD. This is also on quotation basis from various local firms registered for two years by a committee CMS/Agra including Sr. DMO (Store) & Sr. Account officer. Quotation for supply is given for lowest quotation which is under CMS SOPGEN power. These purchase is also from 83 standard Drugs Firms at H. Q. Allahabad. At the time of supply of the medicine we also examine date of manufacturing, Expiry & Quality of medicine. In this bill payment of the firm is directly from account department after verification of stores incharge - Chief Pharmacist then Sr. DMO (Store) and then CMS incharge of AGC Division.
8.One ambulance from AGCHospital & one driver from mechanical Deptt Agra has been provided for emergency at Mathura & Baad area for 24 hrs. & hiring of ambulance for MTJ-Baad area is under process.
9. 10 bedded hospital emergency/ medical reception centre at Divl. Hospital Agra Cantt has been started after Mobilization of various staffs & paramedical staffs (24 Hrs nursing facility – 24 Hrs. one ambulance facility and doctor on call).
10. Separate counter for Medicine for RELHS Retd. Employees & family beneficiaries has been opened at Divisional Hospital Agra Cantt.
