Shri Alok JohriGeneral Manager
Shri Alok Johri took over the charge of the post of General Manager, North Central Railway on 15.06.2012. Earlier he was working as Chief Administrative Officer, Rail Coach Factory, Rae Bareli.
After passing with honours on completion of four years Mechanical Engineering training as Special Class Railway Apprentice at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur, Shri Alok Johri joined the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers in March 1977. During his training, he also passed the examinations of the Council of Engineering Institutions, London to graduate in Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering and the examinations of the Institution of Engineers, India to graduate in Electrical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India and a Chartered Engineer. Shri Johri stood 1st while pursuing Master Diploma in Public Administration from Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. He also studied Transport Management from University of New South Wales, Sydney. Shri Johri also got training on various subjects in Hote Etu’it Commerciale, France and Crainfield University, U.K.
During his previous years of service with Railways he served at several places in important capacities including Divisional Railway Manager on Jabalpur Division of West Central Railway, Chief Mechanical Engineer(P)/COFMOW, Chief Workshop Engineer/South Central Railway, Secunderabad, Chief Mechanical Engineer/South Western Railway, Hubli, etc. Shri Johri had also been deputed to Vietnam as Deputy Team Leader of Indian Railways. Shri Alok Johri has a vast experience of professional working in administrative & technical fields.
