Meeting of Member Rolling Stock with Mechanical officers organised at NCR HQ.

Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Member Rolling Stock, Railway Board visited North Central Railway, Allahabad o­n 25TH Oct. During his visit he interacted with Mechanical officers in HQ office.

The preparedness of rolling stock maintenance and disaster management to meet the enhanced passenger traffic during Kumbh Mela 2019 was discussed in details with all concerned officers. It was advised to develop an App based service for controlling and monitoring the staff and maintenance services during Kumbh Mela . He also advised to develop a separate Centralized Coaching Control at Allahabad to monitor various maintenance requirements and activities of Mela.

The performances of Mechanical department in NCR headquarter office was also reviewed. It was emphasized to improve the quality of maintenance activities of the workshops and divisions so that asset failure can be minimized.

The facilities and infrastructure requirements of New Coach POH and Refurbishment Workshop at Jhansi and MEMU shed at Kanpur were also scrutinized. It was instructed to follow far latest maintenance practices and automation for optimizing manpower utilization and cycle time.

During meeting Shri Devendra Kumar, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer along with his team was available.
