Sr DSTE’s Conference held at NCR Headquarter
A conference on Signalling and Telecommunications chaired by Shri Rajiv Chaudhry General Manager/North Central Railway heldin North Central Railway Headquarters office at Subedarganj Allahabad. Additional General Manager, Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer along with other PHODs of NCR and Senior Divisional officers and other officers of Signal and Telecom Department from headquarter & all the three divisions viz Agra, Allahabad & Jhansi and were present on the occassion.
Shri P.S. Rai, PCSTE/NCR welcomed Shri Rajeev Chaudhry, GM/NCR. In his address, Shri Rajeev Chaudhry emphasized on the use of DataLoggers, which are being used by S&T department for monitoring & analyzing the failures of signaling gears. He asked to share these informations with safety, Engineering, & other departments. He also emphasized that exceptional reports must be seen and analyzed in evening instead of early morning or late night, so that those information could be properly used. He also said, since S&T is a specialized field and there is enoromous potential of research, therefore there is need for innovations and officers must be motivated for that. He stated, there must not be any compromise on safety in operations and it should remain the topmost priority. He also laid emphasis on timely and proper grievance redressal of staff and added that the working conditions at site for staff should be improved like provision of proper rest room for them.
All other PHODs shared their experiences and stated for a co-ordinated efforts with signaling and telecommunications at all level. During the meeting the targets set either by railway board or headquarter for execution of projects were discussed in detail. It was also said that since Signaling & Telecommunication is deepily connected with all departments, therefore there is a need for better coordinated efforts. Divisional officers also shared the good work done by them and presented their inputs for further improvement.
