Coordination MeetingBetweeen GM/NCR & MD/DFCCIL (Dedicated Freight Corporation of India Ltd.) Held In NCR/HQ
A Coordination Meetingbetween North Central Railwayand DFCCIL (Dedicated Freight Corporation of India Ltd.)was held in NCR/HQ Chaired by GM/NCR Shri Rajiv Chaudhry; DFC being represented by MD/DFC Shri Anurag Sachanand Railway Board by ED/Infrastructure, Shri RC Thakur.Timely Completion of work of EDFC-1(Bhaupur-Khurja) for opening soon,was the main focus of discussion.Work of EDFC-2 (Mughalsarai to Bhaupur) &EDFC-3(Khurja -Dadri)wasalso discussed. Speaking in the meeting, GM/NCR said that all precautions should be taken to ensure safety at the worksites of the DFC, especially where the works are being done next to/near to running lines of NCR. He also advised that the work of EDFC-1, between Bhaupur and Khurja should be completed and commissioned within the target of November-2018.MD/DFC informed GM/NCR that the works of yard alteration work of Rura, Phaphund, have already been completed. He also informed that the rest of the works (like Junction arrangement at Khurja, Daudkhan,Kuberpur& Bhaupur, and construction of Rail Flyovers) were in an advanced stage and the same would be completed on or within their targeted schedule. Other issues like construction of Road Overbridges, relocation of transmission line & OHE, and Acquisition of land by DFCCIL for various works also came up for discussion. GM/NCR advisedthat the monsoon being over, the completion of approaches to Level Crossings, where Road Under Bridges were being built, should be expedited.The meeting ended with a discussion on the operational issues that were likely to arise after the commissioning of DFC phases were discussed. Speaking in the meeting, ED/Infrastructure/Railway Board said that there was confidence at the level of the Railway Board that the works relating to the EDFC, especially it’s first phase will be completed within the targeted period. He also laid stress on maintaining complete safety during the execution all the works. The vote of thanks was given by Chief Bridge Engineer/NCR, Shri A.K.Dadaria. The meeting proceeded and concluded in a cordial atmosphere.
