GM/NCR CONDUCTS WINDOW TRAILING INSPECTION OF MGS-ALD SECTION

GM/NCR, Shri M.C. Chauhan conducted a window trailing inspection from Mughalsaraito Allahabad o­n the 7th of February, 2018 by train number 2307 (Howrah-Jodhpur Express). Window-trailing inspection is a specialized inspection in the Indian Railways in which the track and its surrounding installations like signals, OHE, platforms etc are inspected from the rear window of an inspection car attached to a moving train. During the inspection, important parameters like cleanliness and overall condition of stations falling en-route, riding quality of the train-especially o­n points and crossings, progress of work of Dedicated Freight Corridor, Improvement in Track Geometry Index (TGI), Condition of level crossing gates en-route etc were observed by the GM/NCR, ADRM/ALD,and their team of officers.During the inspection, GM/NCR advised that the construction of ROBs being built o­n Level Crossing Numbers 114  (near Jyonathpur) and Level Crossing Number 30 (Near Karchhna) should be expedited and that proper drainage and fencing and all other safety precautions should be taken at construction sites of Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), especially those near the running track. He further advised that:

·Action should be taken to stop discharge of food waste from pantry cars of trains o­n tracks.

·Scrap should be removed from track side.

·Trespassing locations should be identified and trespassers should be prosecuted.

·Maintenance quality at Switch Expansion Joints (SEJs), points and crossings and yards should be improved to improve both riding quality and safety.
